Hello, and welcome to my home on the web. The main focus of these pages reflects my passion for genealogy. Although they comprise only a fraction of my research, they've been fun to put together. I also teach basic and advanced genealogy classes at Las Positas College in Livermore. You will find a significant portion of these pages serve as supplementary material for these classes, and the material and links therein will be very helpful for both neophyte and more experienced researchers. Of course, no genealogist today goes anywhere without their genealogy software! I've used The Master Genealogist (TMG), since its very early days. If you're also a TMG user, or would like to learn more about it, check the section entitled, "Things I Learned from the Maryland TMG User Group." Although many of these pages are being rewritten to illustrate TMG version 7.x, the principles and ideas are still relevant. Genealogy may be my passion, but I'm also a certified bridge director and Silver Life Master. (If you play duplicate bridge, you know what I mean.) Check out my simplified explanations of common director rulings. I'm also an avid - but amateur - photographer. There's a link to some very beautiful scenery! |
